In the first season of Dollhouse, we learned a lot about the dollhouse. A bunch of men and women known as “dolls” have their minds and personalities wiped and are injected with the minds and personalities of other people based on what the needs of the dollhouse and their clients are. It sounds perfectly confusing, but it really isn’t once you watch the television show for even a few minutes (watch the season one recap above).

Echo, played by Eliza Dushku, is one of the dolls. As a matter of fact, she seems to be the most used doll that they have. In this episode, she is interjected with the mind of an agent looking for a large arms dealer. Echo has been used to infiltrate the arms dealers business by marrying the arms dealer.

However, she is caught in the act. As always, she is freed from her situation by the dollhouse and lives to become someone else tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Doctor Saunders, played by Amy Acker of Angel stardom, is struggling with her own identity as a doll. Last season she discovered she was previously a doll and is now the doctor of the facility. She is trying to figure out who she is and what her purpose is. It looks like this may become important during this season.

This episode of Dollhouse was all over the place. It was almost hard to follow. It contained a lot of information and yet brought us very little in excitement. I guess sometimes they need to further the plot with information, even if it leaves the episode feeling stale.
