Vampire football! Oh Yeah! what could be better? The Vampire Diaries is turning out to be more than I expected.

This episode started with the scene we ended with last week. Caroline having “relations” with Damon(Ian Somerhalder) when he turns all vampire and bites her. Only it was a dream. After she wakes up and finds him laying there beside her she gets up and tries to sneak away.  He attacks and bites her. She got what she had coming . I mean, come on, jump into bed with every Tom, Dick and Dracula you meet? Never a good idea.

Elana and Bonnie are at school and talking about her “powers.” Stefan shows up and they begin to talk and walk. Matt and Tyler plan to put Stefan in his place by hitting him with a football.

 Stefan turns at the last minute and catches it. Stefan tries out for the team and is awesome! Caroline is missing all day then makes a very dramatic entrance with Damon. She is wearing a scarf. So, is she gonna turn into a vampire or just food for Damon?

Elana has Bonnie and Stefan for diner. they discuss Bonnie’s witching heritage. Bonnie tells her see keeps seeing three numbers: eight, 14 and 22. Damon and Caroline decide to crash the party. Of Course, Damon can’t just walk in. He has to be invited. Stefan tries to stop Elana but she invites him in. Damon’s in and he can come back at will. Damon talks to Elana and she See’s through him. Stefan tries to hatch a plan to protect Elana with a necklace full of herbs; Burbane, I think.

At the pep rally, Tyler and Jeremy get in to a fight and Stefan comes to the rescue. Stefan gets cut in the hand during the scuffle and is bleeding. Elana sees this and goes to him. By the time she reaches him it is healed. Everyone is getting ready for the game. Matt and Stefan have a bonding moment because he took up for Jeremy. Yeah.

Damon visits Elana in the parking lot and tries pulling his “vampire hypnosis” on her, but she slaps him. About time he got a good girl slap. He visits Stefan and Stefan tries to appeal to his humanity. To prove he has no humanity he attacks the coach.  Matt finds the coach and everyone comes out to see.

Bonnie is standing there and sees a sign that says “Blg 8″ and a “FGHT 14″ license plate. Then she sees a pool of blood on the ground by a spray panted number”22.” Maybe she is a witch.

I am a little confused about this town. A small town and six people have been attacked by an animal, just after two smoldering guys show up. I would surely be asking questions, especially since the last two have bites on their neck. I would stock up on the garlic, invest in some silver bullets and hone up on my wooden steak driving skills.
