The CSI season premiere started with the most awesome opening sequence I have seen in years. Time was stopped as the camera moved around the still images inside the CSI headquarters. It was mayhem, people falling through glass, guns and other objects stopped in mid air. Every person in mid action.

48 hours earlier, Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) is promoted to CSI II. A text is sent, “car crash, two fatalities.” The CSIs arrive at the scene to find a prominent actress dead in her car and the driver of the other car hanging onto life, on the ground. While processing this scene, they also receive a call on the body of a bum that was found in a sleazy hotel.  Apparently he had been dead for a couple of days.

Ray discovers various tire dust behind the car that hit the actress, indicating the driver had his foot on the gas after the car had stopped.

They also noticed that the same car had not tried to stop. A commotion was created by the actress’s boyfriend, who was quickly taken into custody.

At the station, Albert Robbins discovers that the starlet was pregnant at the time of death. The team is informed that they are going to get a new CSI. After much investigation, the team discovers that the guy that hit the actress was actually a stalker. He had a knife, rope and duct tape in the car with him. After reviewing casino footage, they discover the boyfriend’s security guard spending time with the stalker.

No one can identify the bum. Two teeth were found at the site with clothing fragments in the teeth. Ray discovers that the stalker has wounds from a seat belt, but he was setting in the passenger seat. The new CSI is reveled to be none other than everybody’s favorite, Sarah.

A bunch of men in black suits and glasses break into the morgue to steal a body and we experienced the sequence shown in the opening of the show. The bums body was stolen, not the starlet. The bum is the actress’s father. Nick and Sarah are sent to retrieve his body, found fed through a wood chipper. After digging through the pile of “ground meat,”they locate a cuff link that belongs to Tom O’Neil, the security guard for the actress’s boyfriend.

We discover that the security guard had followed the actress, saw her meet with her father, and then went to talk to the father. There was an altercation and the father bit the security guard’s cuff link off. The security guard was paid to end the actress’s relationship. He killed the actress and wounded the stalker.

At the end of the episode, we see Ray and Albert opening up another guy and finding something very interesting. We don’t see this object. I hope they tell us what it is next week.
