DWTS_0903The three day Dancing With The Stars season premiere ended with an entertaining and fun results show. Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel graced the stage again as the judges choice for an encore of the Viennese Waltz.

The men were up first for elimination and the first safe couples were Louie Vito and Chelsie Hightower. The second couple was Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff.

Sean Kingston performed a single from his new album “Tomorrow,” which was released Tuesday. They had a very comical bit about the loser’s club being a club for the people that were voted off first.

Marc Dacascos and Lacy Schwimmer, Chuck Liddell and Anna Trebunskaya, and Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson were all announced as being safe.

The world premiere Miley Cyrus video “Party in the USA,” was shown and the last of the couples awaited elimination. Tom Delay and Cheryl Burke; and Michael Irvin and Anna Demidova were saved. This means that Ashley Hamilton was eliminated. This was choice for the elimination this week. I didn’t think I could last another week watching him dance.

The girls were up next. The first set of safe girls were Natalie Coughlin and Alec Mazo, Mya and Dmitry Chaplin, and Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas.

Macy’s stars of the dance provided the next entertainment with “The Circle of Life” from the Broadway musical “Lion King.” This was a spectacular performance that had me wanting to go online and book a flight to New York to see the musical.

The next set of safe girls were announced with Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough; and Debi Mazar and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, leaving the last 3 couples in fear. I felt so bad for Kelly Osbourne. I could see the terror in her face of letting her parents down.

The Patrick Swayze tribute was done by the professionals. They brought in elements from both Dirty Dancing and Ghost. The professionals did a wonderful job recreating the last dance number for Dirty Dancing. If you missed this great tribute performance, you can check it out in the clip below.

The final three women were now ready for the elimination. In my heart, I wanted to see Kathy go. Just to have one more week to see what Macy Grey had to say. Unfortunately, Macy Grey and Jonathan Roberts were the first of the women couples to be eliminated. Next week, the couples will battle it out with both sexes performing the Jive, Quick Step, or Tango.
