The first season’s finale featured a showdown between the Warehouse 13 top agent Artie and his once good friend and Warehouse Agent/partner MacPherson. The team has been on MacPherson’s trail throughout the series and finally are able to capture him and bring him back to the warehouse where they intended to imprison him for eternity to keep the dangerous man from society.
MacPherson, as it turned out, could not physically enter the warehouse because of a substance that was injected into his blood that would cause his blood to turn to acid if he ever did return. On his capture a special necklace with a neutralizing agent that would prevent that gruesome fate from happening was placed around his neck so that he could be returned and imprisoned.
Unknown to the Warehouse Agents, MacPherson had a sleeper agent working for him inside Warehouse 13 all along who helped him escape his cryogenic prison.
In the process of trying to prevent MacPherson from escaping, Artie is caught in an explosion that was meant to block off the other agent’s persuite of MacPherson.
Artie is trapped in a corridor as the explosion begins, but we will have to wait until next season to find out if Artie met a terrible fate or if he managed to survive the explosion.
Overall another well written show that kept me intrigued by the twists and turns. It’s no wonder this show is one of the Syfy Channel’s highest rated series.
