After the elimination of Alexandria last week, The Biggest Loser contestants found it hard to live with the decisions they made. Week two is notoriously cursed on The Biggest Loser. It has brought extremely low weight loss and weight gain in most contestants from past seasons. This year, the host offers them a proposal. If the group loses a cumulative 150 lbs, no one goes home. If they do not lose the 150 lbs, two people go home.
Back at the Ranch
The group met together to discuss their strategies of working together as a team. Coach Mo gave an inspiring motivational speech, for which I have to say, “I love this guy.” When Bob and Jillian arrive, they are scared to death about the challenge.
The group immediately begins to work out, all except for Julio. He just seems lazy and unmotivated. If I was on the chopping block the week before, I would have pushed myself 18 hours a day, but this dude disappears for three hours at a time.
Tracey is Back
Tracey comes to the ranch for the first time. This is a pretty shocking wake up call. The woman passed out racing a mile and was in the hospital for over a week. Scary! The group welcomed her back with open arms.
First Challenge
The group met chef Curtis Stone for a class on eating healthy. The were quized after the class. If the group gets five out of eight questions correct, they receive 15 lbs off the 150 lbs they have to lose. The meet the challenge and get the prize.
Second Challenge
There were various mats connected to each other through various beams. The team had to move everyone from one mat to the next. If someone fell off, the competition was over. The first and second mat took five lbs from the 150. The third mat gave them calls home and the fourth gave them 10 more lbs off the goal.
After emotional calls to home, the contestants went back to the gym for the last chance workout. Everyone was sweating like pigs and Rudy surprised me by playing tug-of-war with Jillian and Bob. After his win, the whole team cheered. Poor Shay had an emotional breakdown. She has so much baggage holding her weight on.
The Weigh In
The pink team started off with low numbers. Amanda lost four pounds and Rebbecca six. The purple team was up next with my man Mo losing nine pounds and Tracy 10. The red team followed with Antoine down eight pounds and Sean at -11. The green team astonished most with Abby losing 11 and Allen 10. Liz and Danny, of the brown team, lost 22 lbs together. The blue team got them closer to the goal with Rudy losing 14 lbs and Dina eight. This left the group with only two pounds to meet their 150 lbs goal. Julio was up next and my jaw dropped when I saw he lost 19 lbs. The orange team was again the biggest losers of the week, with Dan losing seven pounds and Shay 16. The group lost a total of 155 lbs.
