Osbourn_and_Van_AmstelIt was ladies’ night on the second day of the Dancing With The Stars premiere and oh what a night! The professional lady dancers entertained us all with a dance to “She’s a Lady.”

Debi Mazar and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were the first to perform with a so-so salsa. The performance left me a little bored and unsatisfied. The judges seemed to agree with me, although Bruno did say “Debi, you know how to work those bazooms,” which ended up being the 2nd best comment of the night. The judges score was a 16 to the dismay of the audience.

Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas performed second with a very dramatic Viennese Waltz. The performance was very artistic and the beginning was very romantic. The judges score was an 18.

Mya and Dmitry Chaplin performed another Viennese Waltz, if that’s what you want to call it. The program consist of a lot of flash, with about 10 seconds of an actual waltz. I was very pleased to see that the judges agree with me on this, even though the dance was not technical, it was done well and got a 21.

Kathy Ireland and Tony Dovolani performed a salsa. This dance was very stiff for a salsa, in my opinion. The score for this dance was a generous 16.

Natalie Coughlin and Alec Mazo performed a very fun salsa, but lacked the heat. Their score was a 19.

Macy Grey and Jonathan Roberts performed a Viennese Waltz. Macy is a great performer and has a great spirit, unfortunately, I’m pretty sure she has two left feet. The excitement came after the dance, when she caused the judges panel to break down from laughter. The statement that caused this commotion, and in my opinion was the best statement of the night, was “I popped my cherry… tonight here on stage.” The judges gave this duo a 15.

Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough performed the sexiest salsa of the night. This dance was my favorite salsa, and apparently the judges too, with a score of 24.

Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel closed off the couples performance with a show-stopping Viennese Waltz. The tom boy rock singer and reality star brought the house down with her transformation into a princess. The judges gave them a score of 23.

Next came the relays.
