Castle0301The season premiere of the ABC crime drama, Castle,  started out with a publicity shoot and interview for Rick Castle’s (Nathan Fillion) new book.  A body is found during the interview, causing Castle and Beckett to continue the interview at the scene. At the scene we see the medical examiner, Lanie, examining a body in a tree. Castle remarks, “It’s raining men.” They conclude he was thrown off the roof after he was strangled. The Victim is identified as John Allen. Lanie, castle and the interviewer ride back in what Castle calls “The Morgue-mobile.”  During the ride, Castle and Lanie discuss Castle’s breach of Beckett’s privacy, by investigating her mother’s death. There is a loud crash and the vehicle stops suddenly.

The back doors fly open and the body is taken at gun point.

At the Station

Castle begs Beckett to let him work the case and asks for one more chance to make it up to her. The team splits up to find out more about John Allen. Beckett and Castle head to John’s house to find out more, but only find out he was a normal guy. Upon further investigation they discover he was laid off eight months ago and his body is found, yet again. The victim’s organs where removed and find cocaine in his body (the drug runner). They also find a glove with a finger print on the inside. The print belonged to a known drug dealer. The neck of the victim had strangulation marks, however, and there where nine deep bruises and one light bruise. They begin to prepare a raid on the dealers.

At the Bust

They find baggies covered in flood and 4 guys. They question the guys the story: John was supposed to meet them we he didn’t dhow up, they  started looking for him. They saw the police and stole the body. Castle could by the desperation of a guy who had been out of work for 8 months, but, where does he get the job. The drug dealers give them the name of a friend that referred John to them. They question the friend and discover John was in debt to a Russian mobster for gambling losses.  The action moves to a gambling establishment in Chinatown.  He goes in with a camera button. This camera allows Beckett and the other investigators to see and hear Castle. He approaches a table of Russians and begins to play and talk. he talked a little too much. The mobsters where starting to get upset. Beckett watching from a van, changes in to some semi-slutty attire and charms her way into the club. Castle gets jumped by a mobster with a prosthetic pinkie. Remember the weird bruising. Beckett saves the day.

The End of the Day

Castle is working on his novel when his daughter comes in upset at a date. She Asks why guys don’t just apologize. Castle runs to Beckett and says he’s sorry and she forgives him.
