Last season on One Tree Hill we had to say good-by to couple Lucas and Peyton. Many fans were wondering how the show would continue without them. But out with the old and in with the new. One Tree Hill has quite the season planned for fans.
The season starts with a voice over by Dan, who looks looking pretty healthy, considering. The show has a montage to catch everyone up on what has happened the past 4 months. Haley is singing in the studio, Julian and Brooke seem happier than ever and Nathan has his own NBA card and agent, Clay (the gorgeous Robert Buckley).
At Clothes Over Bros’ corporate headquarters, Millicent is now in charge. she books a flight to Tree Hill.
Back in Tree Hill, Mouth asks Skills to move out , in a round about way, so that he and Millicent can have their own place.
Mouth tries to persuade him by walking around naked and trying out the new body spray Nathan is endorsing. But Skills retaliates with his own nakedness.
Over in L.A., Brooke accompanies Julian to his new movie premiere.Julian is offered a producing gig in New Zealand for 8 months. During this scene, did anyone notice the “Marry Me” written in the sand that then washed away?
Meanwhile, the youngest Scott is turning seven, and it’s time to celebrate and see some new faces. First up is Haley’s sister, Quinn. She’s a pretty girl who acts like a kid. She’s staying with the Scotts for a few days while her husband is working on a documentary. She has actually left her husband.
The first present that Jamie opens up is a basketball from his Uncle Lucas. The note reads “Peyton and I miss you,” and explains that this basketball was Lucas’ best friend until he met Haley. The next gift Jamie gets is Jerry Rice jersey from his dad, Jamie is ecstatic when Nate’s agent Clay tops it with a phone call to the man himself. Then, Jerry Rice appears. Skills’ response was classic: “Oh damn, my gift sucks.” Also glad to see that Skills is still with Jamie’s teacher, Lauren.
A pretty girl walks up to Nathan to take a picture with him and says, “Good to see you again…you don’t remember me, do you?” Another unannounced guest is Julian, who surprised Brooke by flying in. The two go for a walk on the beach, where Julian tells her that he decided not to produce the film in New Zealand because after all, there’s this girl he’s in love with.
Clay has a fling with a model from Nate’s body spray ad. Clay goes out on his terrace to record some to-dos; one is to send flowers.
Dan comes back up apparently doing some motivational speaking forgiveness. “What I’ve done is not who I’ll be,” he tells his audience. Maybe this will be the theme this year.
Clay calls Nathan and tells him to meet him in the middle of the night. He shows Nathan a picture of the girl he saw at the party. “She says she slept with you on the road, Nate.” Clay warns him that what he’s done is out there and she’s going public. So will he fess up to it or is it a lie?
