This is Fox television’s 23rd season of America’s Most Wanted, a reality television show that utilizes viewer participation to help bring in some of the worst criminals who are on the run.
The show’s season premier was September 12, 2009, and the ratings for the season opener show that America is still captivated by the true as life, often gritty, reality program. The opening episode of the September 12th premier centered on the death of a small child from a family in Texas. The doctor’s reported the child was hit so hard in the stomach that the assalant ripped the little girl’s small intestine away from her large intestine. By the time the child reached the hospital the doctors were unable to save her life.
The immediate suspects sadly enough was the child’s own parents. They were detained and questioned by police officers and their other two children were even taken from them.
Here viewers got an inside look at the some of the ugly turns police investigations can take sometimes in the course of solving a crime - and of course, America’s Most Wanted revealed it all.
As it often does, the truth came out as the child’s caretaker/babysitter turned out to be the prime suspect in the little girl’s murder. This case along with the two other cases that aired proved that America’s Most Wanted is still one of the highest quality reality shows of today, so don’t miss it.
