The CBS reality show is an American version of the Dutch original television series, Big Brother Reality Television Show, of the the same name, created in 1997 by John de Mol. The unique show is based on a group of strangers, called “house guests,” who are all living together around the clock in the Big Brother house.
Cameras are on all the contestants every second of the day so they have absolutely no privacy and are completely isolated from the outside world for three full months.
The gist of the show is that these house guests compete to win a $500,000 grand prize and the way you win is very fresh as well as kind of weird – just the kinda stuff that can make a reality based program very fascinating. The house guests must avoiding weekly evictions until they are the only one residing in the Big Brother house s at the end of the season. The winners gets to claim the $500,000 grand prize.
Everyone wants the cool half-million dollar prize so every contestant must do whatever it takes to avoid eviction. Fun and often tense situations arise throughout the series. Big Brother is a heck of a reality show and over 8 million viewers can attest to the impact the show is making on the popularity of Reality TV overall.
This season’s finale show is set to air September 15th so check your local times because you don’t want to miss this 2 hours of entertainment. It’s going to be big – Big Brother style!
