Blu-Rays, also known as BR, are new optical disc storage mediums. They were designed to far exceed the quality of any DVD format. Blu-Rays contain data storage that relays over a media play through high definition audio, stereoscopic 3D, 1080p High Definition video.

A Blu-Ray is played in your home either with the use of a Blu-Ray player or a Playstation 3 gaming console. The Blu-Ray player or game console must be hooked up to a High Definition television in order to achieve the best picture quality possible.
